Map traversal woes.
The past week has been interesting to say the least, I have been struggling to really get the map and navigation process to a place that suits my desired end goal, having discussed in great detail with a friend about various approaches and eventually settling on one that isn't quite optimal.
The new map layouts have connections and paths, which guide player navigation and emphasise thoughtful decision making, however I have yet to implement it fully to the point where it is a stable and reliable system, as such the massive gap between builds.
This has really been eye opening as it has shown me how much of my time can be consumed achieving very little.
Anyway, next release should come with a mostly complete map which can take you up and down, with newly updated map layouts and paths.
Demonic rooms are yet to be implemented as I am beginning work polishing and adjusting core features to better suit the scope of the project.
